1/4 cup masoor dal
1/4 cup tur dal
1/2 thooyamalli rice or any variety of rice
4 cups water
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Pink himalayan salt as needed
2 green chilies
4 garlic cloves
A handful of palak leaves (spinach)
1 tbsp wood pressed sesame oil
1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
2 Red chilies
6-7 garlic cloves
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1/4 tsp hing (asafoetida powder)
Serve with homemade pickle or vegan curd of your choice.
