today’s video is aval payasam recipe, aval paal payasam is a quick and easy payasam recipe with jaggery and coconut milk, avalakki payasa is easy to make and healthy, without dairy milk.
1 cup aval (poha)
1.5 tbsp A2 desi ghee
8-10 cashew nuts
1.5 tbsp raisins
2 tbsp coconut pieces
1 cup jaggery
2 tbsp water
1 cup thin coconut milk (2nd milk)
1/2 cup thick coconut milk (1st coconut milk)
A pinch of jeera, 6 cardamons, 1/4 tsp dry ginger powder (chukku podi)
NOTE: The payasam will slightly thicken once it cools down, you can use 3/4 cup thick coconut milk if you want a thinner payasam.
